SsangYong is committed to introducing a new car every year for the next three years, which includes a pick-up truck derived from Rexton early in 2018. The company is also focused on creating further growth by developing petrol powered, EV and other eco-friendly vehicles.” “Rexton is the second addition to our all-new model line-up. ”Following hard on the heels of Tivoli when SsangYong set new standards for value-priced compact SUVs, new Rexton is further evidence of the brand’s re-generation after Mahindra made significant investments in the company. It demonstrates the rapid progress being made as a specialist producer of 4x4s and SUVs,” Gray said. Steve Gray, marketing director of SsangYong Motor UK, points out Mahindra of India has made a big investment in the company. There’s a big list of standard equipment, and it has a 5-year limitless mileage warranty. It has a pre Kia-Hyundai Korean ungainly look about it, but it’s not too ugly to put off convinced buyers, who might perhaps describe its looks as quirky. Ssangyong describes its looks as “gracious” but that seems a strange choice of words. All versions have a 2 litre diesel, 4-wheel drive and an optional 7-speed automatic transmission. Rexton prices start at £27,500 and range up to £37,500. Apparently its market has always been with farmers anyway, who relish its impressive towing and go-anywhere ability. This is a negative which won’t, probably, put off potential buyers lured by the package itself and the ruggedness in particular. Its old-fashioned ladder frame construction gives it poor handling and ride, and this factor is the more surprising given the modern and impressive monocoque construction of the smaller, older Tivoli. The Rexton’s plus points do in fact include a compelling price with plenty of equipment, but the negatives won’t help. ![]() The Rexton is firmly in category “a” and definitely not in “c” but is it good value enough to turn buyers away from impressive and proven SUVs like the Skoda Kodiaq, or the Mazda CX-5? Will its ruggedness, off-road ability, warranty and 7-seat option single it out for attention? ![]() So, it is to be decided and operated on by everyone except the makers. Honestly, I would recommend spending time in both. It has all the boons and banes that come with a higher population as well, so take that as you will. However, it is a different game as much of the focus is on progression and endgame rather than anything else. Regarding WotLK, you could probably pick any server as their population is likely higher than anything on Era. Also the absence of bots, gold sellers, and boosting selling makes for a more healthy, but slow paced, game. Since the game does have a finite end, the mindset I would recommend is to take the game slow and focus on the present. ![]() The purpose of this paper is to contribute to dispelling some of the confusion and misconceptions regarding Braun and Clarke’s approach by providing a worked example of their contemporary approach to reflexive thematic analysis. Braun and Clarke have repeatedly iterated that researchers who chose to adopt their approach should interrogate their relevant publications beyond their 2006 article and adhere to their contemporary approach (Braun and Clarke 2019, 2020). Much of their subsequent body of literature in this area addresses these issues and attempts to correct some of the misconceptions in the wider literature regarding their approach. ![]() Indeed, the term ‘reflexive thematic analysis’ only recently came about in response to these misconceptions (Braun and Clarke 2019). Commendably, they have acknowledged that their 2006 paper left several aspect of their approach incompletely defined and open to interpretation. However, on numerous occasions Braun and Clarke have identified a tendency for scholars to cite their 2006 article, but fail to fully adhere to their contemporary approach to RTA (see Braun and Clarke 2013, 2019, 2020). These authors have since published several articles and book chapters, as well as their own book, all of which make considerable contributions to further delineating their approach to TA (see, for example, Braun and Clarke 2012, 2013, 2014, 2019, 2020 Braun et al. Much of the credit for the recent enlightenment and subsequent increase in interest in TA can arguably be afforded to Braun and Clarke’s ( 2006) inaugural publication on the topic of thematic analysis in the field of psychology. While the data used in the worked example has been garnered from health and wellbeing education research and was examined to ascertain educators’ attitudes regarding such, the example offered of how to implement the RTA would be easily transferable to many other contexts and research topics.Īlthough the lineage of thematic analysis (TA) can be traced back as far as the early twentieth century (Joffe 2012), it has up until recently been a relatively poorly demarcated and poorly understood method of qualitative analysis. ![]() ![]() This paper will offer a worked example of Braun and Clarke’s contemporary approach to reflexive thematic analysis with the aim of helping to dispel some of the confusion regarding the position of RTA among the numerous existing typologies of TA. Over the course of numerous publications, Braun and Clarke have elaborated significantly upon the constitution of RTA and attempted to clarify numerous misconceptions that they have found in the literature. The authors themselves have identified that many researchers who purport to adhere to this approach-and who reference their work as such-fail to adhere fully to the principles of ‘reflexive thematic analysis’ (RTA). However, confusion persists as to how to implement this specific approach to TA appropriately. Since the publication of their inaugural paper on the topic in 2006, Braun and Clarke’s approach has arguably become one of the most thoroughly delineated methods of conducting thematic analysis (TA). Once this eclipse campaign is over, NSF says no other total solar eclipse will be visible in the United States until 2044 - that's 20 years after April's event.Įlizabeth Howell (she/her), Ph.D., is a staff writer in the spaceflight channel since 2022 covering diversity, education and gaming as well. "The moon's shadow traverses across the atmosphere at supersonic speeds, so things change pretty fast (and) very quickly throughout the eclipse region," Sharma said. ![]() "That's going to be useful in moving the science forward, and also getting the excitement of the eclipse out into the public," Sharma said.Īdditionally, scientists will be watching local weather to see how it is affected by the lack of solar radiation. The ham radio community will also help with ionospheric studies during the eclipse, using their GPS receivers to help professional scientists track changes in that layer of the Earth's atmosphere. With the sun mostly blacked out temporarily by the eclipse, NSF will be carefully watching what happens "when you suddenly turn off that X-ray and the ultraviolet" rays from the sun that usually filter into the ionosphere and affect its extent, said Mangala Sharma, the foundation's program director for space weather (the ionosphere actually expands and contracts depending on how much energy it is absorbing from the sun) These interactions affect the propagation of radio signals.
